Zeke's Blessing

On February 21st, we had Zeke's blessing at the church. We did it on a Saturday night so that Brennan's dad and step-mom could come. (They were leaving the next morning before church.) It was really special and it was nice to have our families and a couple of friends present. I wish that we could have invited everyone, or even had it during church, but I think it was especially nice for Brennan to have his family be a part of Zeke's blessing. Also, I think Brennan preferred it since he didn't have to worry about being in front of so many people to give the blessing. Also, my wonderfully talented mother made his cute blessing outfit. I was kind of bummed because I didn't have anything for him to wear because Brennan said what I had blessed Sydney in was too girly. I have several of the same blessing gowns because I got them on sale one time. I wanted each of my kids to get to keep their own outfit, but Brennan said it was like a dress. So, my mommy, (Sydney's Ma-Mo) made Zeke a wonderful little outfit that I love. She is very talented. She's all mine though, and I don't share.

3-2-1 Lift Off!

Today we took Sydney outside to fly her first kite! It was fun...even though it was just me and Brennan flying it for the most part. It had many nose dives, and to end its glorious flight...I let it go. Ooops! I was going to hand it to Sydney, but for some reason I just let it go. It flew across the street, over the neighbor's roof, and off into the desert! Brennan, being the man-hero that he is, ran into our neighbor's yard, jumped their fence, and fifteen minutes later, with kite in-tow, walked across the street. It was a fun time had by all...especially me.

The beginning of Spring Break

So, this Spring Break has started off as a pretty successful week. Brennan filled my new little garden with dirt and potting soil. Afterwards, I planted all of my little seeds and a few plants that are a few inches high. I tend to have a BLACK thumb when it comes to plants, so here goes nothing! Hopefully, I can keep these alive, because I must say it is VERY expensive to start a garden. Here are some pictures of our WIND blown day. Sydney's shirt was VERY appropriate today!

Also, I have some pictures of Sydney's new bed! I AM SOOOO EXCITED! I made the quilt that is the comforter on it. Plus, I found some wonderful matching sheets and bedskirt at Walmart! I absolutely LOVE it....come see it in person! :) Zeke just lounged around while we accomplished all of this!

Zeke caring less about my birthday and more about his tummy.
Sydney loving cake batter.

Still loving batter but giving me the "look."

The aftermath and pure happiness of eating batter. ;)

Okay, so yesterday was my birthday! I had a really good day. I cleaned for the majority of the day and since Sydney has been sick, I stayed home all day. When I had had enough cleaning and organizing, I made my birthday cake and dinner. (Much to Anita's dissappointment.--explained later.) Sydney was very excited about the cake and my birthday...Zeke could have cared less, but he will be thanking me later when his milk tastes like yummy cake and sugar! Kendra came over the night before to give me some really pretty gerber daisies. (LOVE THEM!-One of my favorite flowers) Sariah came in the morning with a cute card and a very creative gift. ;) Cindy Goggin brought me some very yummy cookies. Anita brought me a yummy cake...does anyone want some? Seriously we have a ton! Melissa brought me a giftcard to Coldstone, yummy! My sister came by and brought me some Lifesaver Gummies and a Walmart giftcard and stayed for a visit! Brennan and the kids got me stuff to finish setting up my garden! It was a fun day...it is funny how you learn more and more about your mother though, the longer you are away from them. For example, cleaning, taking care of kids, and making your own birthday cake and party plans...somehow when you are younger those things just get done. Then when you are older, if you want any of those things....ya gotta do it yourself!

Going Paranoid

Okay, so I am paranoid, whatever. I don't like the idea that pictures can be taken from Blogs, etc. So....I don't have anyone's emails, so if you want to be invited to view my Blog, please email me or put your email address on here and I will invite you. I will be doing this soon, so don't procrastinate...Amy! Anyway, talk to you soon!
